Aerobic Exercises Cause Muscle Loss: Myth Or Truth?

If you question about the relationship between aerobics and muscle loss, the answer is positive, yes aerobic exercise does make you lose muscle. But it is not as scary as it sounds since it is just a normal occurrence is normal during physical exercise. The process is known as protein turnover, which means the constant breakdown and rebuilding of muscle tissue. During aerobic exercise, muscle proteins are broken down and used for energy during the whole routine.

If you think you are losing muscle mass, it may not caused by your cardio exercises, your diet plays an important role as well.

You need to make sure there is enough amounts of protein-rich foods in your daily diet due to the fact that protein is the only nutrient that actually helps to build muscle and rejuvenation. If you are physically active or planning to get active you must make sure that you include protein in your diet, at least .8 to 1 gram of protein per pound of body fat, in order to avoid large amounts of muscle loss.

Due to the large following of low-carb & no carb diet, some aerobics exercisers combine their workout routine with either of these diet methods to achieve optimal result. You can cut down on carbs intake but yiu should condition your body & let it adjust to the lower carb intake it will be getting. Radically cutting down or not having carbs at all may cause more muscle loss.

We should know the importance harmonious balance in our body, shortcuts to a slimmer figure by starving yourself is very unhealthy. If you are not eating properly, you will not have enough calories in your body, which also means that your body cannot support muscle growth. When your body goes into a starvation mood, your metabolism will slow down and your body starts to burn muscle tissue to save energy. The muscular organs require a lot of caloric energy to maintain itself that is why the body automatically shuts down & shed off muscle when it senses that you are starving.

As a conclusion, you should get rid of all your worries about aerobics causing muscle loss due to the fact that you are actually more in danger of muscle loss from improper diet than from doing cardio.

Some people think that eating less and more cardio exercise is the most effective way for a sexier body but what they do not realize the fact that losing muscle loss along with the fat. This is why the best way to a healthy body is to feed it with nutritious food while having cardio exercise at the same time.
