Aromatherapy Herbs
Making Use of Aromatherapy Herbs to Ease Daily Symptoms
For many centuries, the essential oils of many plants have
been used to relieve different physiological benefits which
include sleep, relaxation and healing. Until the mid 1960s,
it has been pointed that aromatherapy herbs offer many additional
benefits.
An essential oil mixture of geranium and peppermint, heated
over either an open flame or in an electric steamer, has been
identified to relieve the stress of jet lag just as the aromatherapy
herbs are used to soothe physical exhaustion which includes
an essential oil mixture of geranium, peppermint, lavender
and chamomile.
The key is with the use of quality essential oils, which
are extracted from the herbs by using a distillation process.
The essential oils can then be used as aromatherapy herbs
in many ways to offer their benefits. One such way is by heating
and allowing the aroma to infuse the air. Oils are placed
in burners to evaporate into the air with some evaporators
having small fans to circulate the aroma or in atomizers to
pulse the aroma throughout the air.
Mixing Herbs and Spices
Since centuries ago, the essential oils of different aromatherapy
herbs are mixed with the essential oils of different spices,
which have been found to have different and profound effects
on many people who use them. For instance, mixing the essential
oils of lavender, eucalyptus, rosemary and marjoram can soothe
arthritis.
Besides, mixing the essential oils of aromatherapy herbs
lemongrass, thyme, lavender and peppermint can be used as
an insect repellant and lavender, chamomile and eucalyptus
are good at easing the pain and itching of insect bites.
It’s been well proven that the sense of smell has the
ability to change mood pretty fast. Many studies have stated
that shown that certain smells spark changes in the brain
that bypass negative anxieties and aromatherapy herbs have
been found to relieve a variety of them.
Anxiety and tensions can be calmed down and soothed with
an essential oil mixture of cedar wood, sandalwood and patchouli.
Nervous tension can also be relieved by a mixture of aromatherapy
herbs, such as cardamom, cedar wood, ylang ylang and sweet
orange. If you are suffering from a stress headache, try lavender
and clary sage.
Other blends of aromatherapy herbs give wellness benefits
such as sweet basil and marjoram to ease the affects of asthma
and melissa, thyme, lemon and marjoram can be used to ease
and soothe a cold and fever.
After years of studies, it has been proven that aromatherapy
herbs have many benefits for many people wanting a more natural
way of dealing with everyday events.
