Basically, cardio workouts are very safe. The only risk you incur is the one you take upon yourself. There are some rules that you have to follow to prevent injuries. For example, stretching is important to avoid muscle damage and overstraining yourself. Also, if you are combing working out with cardio exercises then you should have proper spacing in between the two. Try to stay within the limit to avoid disaster.
