Flu Symptom
Got The Flu?
Flu season is nothing like hunting season, it is not a season
that people anticipate, but it is a time of year that you
cannot escape. Unfortunately, thousands of people a year will
are at the risk of catching the flu. Sometimes the people
who get sick, have no idea that it is the flu, which can make
things worse if not treated properly. Now, let’s look
at some flu symptoms that can help you figure out whether
or not it’s the flu you got.
1. Headache
This is not the regular headache. When the headache is the
flu symptom, your headache is more than just a horrible nuisance;
it’s a sign that your body is in trouble.
When you have the flu, your body will find a way to fight
it off, that also means that every body system is working
overtime to handle the invader. Your brain will have to work
harder than any other part of your body, because it controls
every part of your body. Your brain is in pain because you
are sick. Your headache is a flu symptom which is hard to
ignore.
2. Fever
All of us know that a fever usually means that your body
is trying to fight something off. You catch a bug and your
body immediately dispatches some white blood cells. If the
white blood cells fail to take care of the problem, it calls
for reinforcements and your brain sends them some “heat”.
Raising the body temperature is your brain’s way of
trying to kill the invader. The body’s temperature usually
runs between 96 and 99 degrees. A temperature of 100.5 or
more is a sign which your body is trying to ward off the invading
hordes.
3. Stuffy Nose & Coughing
When you find it hard to breathe through your nose, and every
time you breathe through your mouth you cough, then it shows
that you are in some serious agony. This is the flu symptom
which has most people running to get their flu shot. When
you are having the flu, your nasal membranes swell. This might
be due to the fact that your body is trying to prevent the
advancement of any other nasty little “boogers”
that can hurt you.
And when your nasal membranes start to swell, your ability
to breathe will be drastically reduced. It is pointless to
blow your nose, since it isn’t just snot up there, its
swollen membranes, and hopefully those won’t come out
when you blow. Coughing during the flu is your body’s
way of trying to get rid of some of the “leftovers”
that are draining into your lungs and nasal passages.
Basically, these are all the symptoms of the flu, the rest
includes sore throat, sneezing, fatigue, aches and pains,
chest discomfort, and in rare cases, nausea are some other
flu symptoms that you should be on the look out for.
