Flu Vaccines

The Possibilities Of Developing Potent Flu Vaccines

The whole world watched with stunned disbelief the mutation of an animal virus and how it attacked the human systems. Back in those days, such a thing was impossible even to think of, but today, it is happening right before our own eyes and we are watching it happen defenseless. The crossover of the avian virus into the human-compatible virus strain has driven some preventive research and action from scientists all over the world.

When the avian flu struck the humans and caused death, the question of defensive mechanism has immediately been put. Scientists all over the world went into overtime seeking a flu vaccine which is able to prevent and destroy the new virus strain.

Of course it is going to take quite some time to get a vaccine done. Besides it will have to be approved from which the right number of tests to be undertaken. It may be available within a year or two for sure, but today we have nothing against the avian flu other than symptomatic treatment and removal of the person from the proximity of the infected birds.

Till the flu vaccines are fully developed, people are looking into other alternative medicine and the herbal world has answers for the problem. So does homeopathy. Hence, till the flu vaccines are introduced, there are other ways to safeguard the lives of people, such as herbal and homeopathic medicines. Of course, the best thing that needs to be done is to get away from the contact with any bird whatsoever.

The mutation of H5N1 virus has encouraged the research and production of the flu vaccines for humans and birds. It has also opened the Pandora’s box on matters with regards to the possibility of other crossovers from the animal world to humans. What if diseases that affect, dogs, cats, cows, parrots, rabbits, all are able to cross over and affect human beings? It is very scary, isn’t it?

Is the flu vaccine possible? Are there other vaccines available? Can we fight against a host of news diseases that may cross over from different animals to us? It is about time that we researched all the possible resources we have. Only then we are able to face another such attack in the future
