Useful Tips To Get Through Cardio Hell
How many times have you skipped your gym sessions? How many
times have you told yourself that “l just go do my cardio
tomorrow”? How many times have you agonized over each
cardio set, hoping for it to end fast?.
Exercising is not a favor you owe someone and you do not
do it for others. And, you will not gain anything from a physical
activity that you do half-heartedly. If you are attending
your aerobic routine just because your boyfriend or your girlfriend
pushed you to start getting active or lose weight, then maybe
you do not have the motivation.
In fact, self-motivation and determination Is the most important
part of working out. In order to have a healthy lifestyle
requires lifetime commitment because you may have to reevaluate
everything you did in your life and dump the bad habits, replacing
them with healthy ones.
The best thing about doing cardio is, not only it enhances
your physical appearance, it also helps to fight against stress
and depression. Therefore, you need to have the right concept
and attitude to help you to start off.
Now, here are some useful tips to guide you through the cardio
hell:
1. Motivate yourself:
When you feel like you are feeling demotivated and discouraged,
you should pull yourself together and get rid of the negative
vib.Control your thoughts when it starts to stray and focus
on your current activity. Though it may be true that cardio
can get boring after a while due to its repetitive nature,
you must not give up. Imagine yourself having lean and sexy
body and that should keep you going.
2. Move with the beat:
Music is my secret weapon that gets me moving when I started
to feel bored and down. Nothing beats great rap & R&B
music when it comes to keeping the sweat rolling. It can be
a great motivator to get you moving.
3. Stay focused:
Don’t keep checking the timer no matter what happens.
Keeping tabs on the timer is the surest way to discourage
you. Feeling like you have run for 30 minutes only to find
that you’re barely gone past 10 can be disheartening
and might just stop you from continuing. The best way to avoid
that feeling is to avoid timing yourself. Get a stopwatch
that has a buzzer. You should only stop when the buzzer goes
off.
4. Try interval cardio training. Interspersing the intensity
and speeds in your workout is another great way to keep you
focused and making your routine more interesting. If you find
cardio difficult to do then interval cardio training should
be the solution for you. Interval cardio means alternating
high intensity and low intensity cardio workouts while using
the same duration. For instance, you can alternate 5 minutes
of walking with 5 minutes of jogging if you find doing the
jogging part too straining.
