Green Tea Antioxidant

What Makes Green Tea Antioxidant Beneficial?

There are many valuable nutrients and compounds contained green tea, for example, green tea antioxidant. Basically, there are four primary polyphenols which are found in green tea, and the green tea antioxidant arises from these; these powerful antioxidants have been shown in recent studies as being able to fight viruses, slow aging, and also have a general beneficial effect on a person’s health.

As a matter of fact, certain clinical tests state that catechins (the four primary polyphenols) are useful in fighting free radicals, have far reaching effects on the body; these free radicals, if left, might damage the body at a cellular level, hence leaving the body vulnerable to cancer, heart disease, and many other degenerative diseases.

The Powerful Green Tea Antioxidant

A special green tea antioxidant has also proven to be able to protect the brain and fight against diseases such as Alzheimers. This has been proven true ue because a recent study shows that high doses of the green tea ingredient known as EGCG appears to be able to drastically reduce the formations of beta-amyloid proteins in the brains of mice which were altered to develop Alzheimers disease.

EGCG is one of a group of antioxidants which is known as flavonoids that are found in plants, and they have been related to a wide variety of health benefits, such as protecting against cancer and that of heart disease as well. One important green tea antioxidant is that of EGCG, and this has proven to be one of the most primary explanations for why green tea is considered to be so helpful to our health overall.

We should know that it is claimed that many polyphenols in green tea possess much more potent antioxidants such as vitamin C and vitamin E, and the EGCG which is found in green tea is at least 100 times more effective than vitamin C and at least 25 times better than vitamin E at protecting cells and their genetic material, that of DNA, from damage which is believed to be related with such aspects as cancer, heart disease, and other potentially life threatening illnesses.

Generally, it is vital to both identify and understand the antioxidants which are found in green tea, and also the positive aspects and components which these antioxidants offer for your health and well-being.
