1. Green Tea for Skin Care
Green tea has been found to be beneficial to our skin, especially
acne and eczema. For acne, this tea is a great, cheap option
to expensive toners or astringents. Most of the time, it is
combined with ingredients to make a concoction which can be
applied with a cotton ball to clean skin. Simply drinking
this tea has also proven to work for some to reduce the presence
of acne, although you do have to be careful of increasing
the intake of caffeine in your diet, as this is related to
an increase in breakouts. It can also be mixed with other
ingredients, such as olive oil, to create a treatment for
eczema.
2. Homemade Mouthwash
Besides skin care, green tea can be used as part of a homemade
mouthwash. Of course, you need to stay away from sugar and
honey. What property of this light drink helps keep your teeth
healthy? It’s the presence of fluoride which can prevent
tooth decay and strengthen teeth and gums. Mixing the brewed
tea with spring water makes the most basic recipe, but it
can be combined with other ingredients to make intriguing
flavors of homemade mouthwashes.
