Instigating Stress

We should always understand the situation and have a stress management plan to avoid total failure.

None of us expects to face problems all the time, but, they just exist. Although we all know that bad things can happen, but few of us believe that it can happen to ourselves. If you are one of those few, and when it hits you one day, stress will come knocking at your door.

Living in this world, we are all exposed to various danger, harm, failure, rejection, fear, and etc. This is just part of life and all depend on how well prepared we are to accept it. It makes a difference whether we are prepared to deal with stress or not.

American’s are a fine example, since many individuals in the world thought at one time or believed that it could not happen to them. It is when disaster finally hit one day, and they were unprepared and frantically disturbed. If we look at the how the hurricanes had destroyed entire cities and, panic took over entire city and affected the world as well. We can see that stress management was not fully developed.

We need to know that, we need stress management to survive and to prevent total failure. Stress management is techniques that are utilized to help us all cope with mental related problems, which include our fears. Even when we face the worst-cased scenario, we will know how to cope with it if we learn stress management techniques.

We should always review the failure in stress management by over viewing the situations that happen. We can see that we have no control over natural disasters, however we must understand that we have resources. The government will often hold campaigns to help those natural disasters victims. This seems like a great stress management strategy, but how can we continue to fight stressful situations.

Natural disasters are seldom predictable and can befall on us at anytime. If we ehear from weather reports that inform us a natural disaster may hit the area, would you sit around and expect nothing to happen?

If you have a well-planned stress management, then you know it’s time to pack a few belongings, or even have a suitcase already packed and take your family to a safe area to avoid the disasters. It’s true that weather forecast may not be always correct, but why would your risk your life. If a natural disaster were to take place, it is too late if action is taken after it hits. Always remember that, panic will only worsen the situation. Waiting for something to happen can either harm us or help us. If we always expect best to happen, and natural disaster is on its way to destruct us, then we will definitely fail. Therefore, we see we need proper preparation, planning, decisions, thinking, and stress management to deal with disastrous stressors.

Forget about natural disaster now.Let’s take a look at another example where disaster is in view. Visualize that you are working at a gas station, and a man walks in the door with a loaded revolver and demands you to give up the money or die. Have you ever thought about this scenario? What would you do under such circumstances? Do you have stress management in place? If not, let me give you a word of advice. When we talk guns, we are talking for real, since guns potentially kill.

First of all, we must realize that we are in danger, which means a stressor is triggered and stress exists. Now, you should weigh every factor to ensure the safety of everyone. Keep your eye contact with the person who has gun. Stay firm, and maintain a direct focus, looking into the person’s eyes consistency. This will tell the person that you are alert and paying attention to his or her demands. And, you should give up your money for your life.

NEVER try to be a hero, everyone faces life or death. You will see that panicky can harm you now, so, you should always keep your emotions in control. You might lose your life anytime if you forget the golden rule. If you think that this will never happen to you, then you risk your life. So, always be prepared, keep it real, plan, and manage your stress.
