Laser Liposuction

Is Laser Liposuction Right For You?

Laser Liposuction or assisted liposuction in a technology created by the Europeans, it’s a procedure that meant to reduce the pain, swelling, and bruising of the conventional liposuction methods.

Liposuction refers to the removal of unwanted fat bulges and lumps from areas of the body with suction tubes which will be inserted into the body thru small incisions, and then a vacuum pump will be attached to the hoses and fatty cells will be removed.

How Does It Work?

First of all, a laser with low level energy wave length will be focused on the part of the body that you wish to work on, then the waves will be penetrated through the skin and weakens the membrane of the cells that hold the fat, the fat contained in these cell literally ooze out of the cells parameter.

Then a small incision and a tinny surgical instrument called a cannula is inserted and literally sucks the fat out of the area like the conventions liposuction but of course it is not a major incision.

The low-level energy laser is then reset for optimal pain management relief. As for the final procedure of laser liposuction the laser is then reset again for an anti-inflammatory, anti-swelling. This dramatically reduces the postoperative discomfort. The following day, the patient is required to return for a second follow up session of pain management.

Which Area Can It Be Used?

The areas that laser liposuction are most commonly used on women are such as the abdomen, hips, thighs and knees. While the common areas applied on men are on the abdomen, love handles, enlarged breast, arms, and neck. Laser liposuction can also be used to remove the sweat glands from armpit area to reduce sweating without any danger of interfering with the body process of cooling itself.

The Advantages Of Laser Liposuction

The advantages of laser liposuction have become clear when they are compared to the conventional tumescent and ultrasonic-assisted. These two methods usually require a large amount of recovery time while the laser liposuction takes only short recovery time. Besides, laser liposuction has greatly reduced the swelling and bruising.

The other advantage of laser-assisted liposuction is that most patients will not need any type of postoperative prescribe pain medication. Also the procedure time for laser liposuction is relatively shorter than conventional liposuction and is usually done under local anesthesia and a sedative are the only medication all that the patient will need for the duration of the procedures.

If the patient wishes, the fat which is withdrawn from the designated areas can be used to fill in other areas of the patient’s body that are lacking fat. The most common of these areas are the lips. Most of the patients that have laser liposuction can usually return to normal activities in just a few days.

Laser liposuction may seem like a good choice, but, you must also consider about the cost of it. Any cosmetic surgery can literally cost you a bomb. I would say the best choice is still go for the non-surgical way to achieve slim and toned body without the excess fat. The only way of risk-free body slimming is through muscle exercise with our TUA products.
