Limiting Stress
Sometimes, when it is too much for us to handle,
we should learn to limit our stressors to help us see the
light in life.
Stress exists in every dimension, but how do we limit stress
in a fast pace world? Learning to manage stress is one of
the best policies. Education that we receive will provide
us the knowledge to learn facts that will prepare us to face
the bad when someone attempts to bring us down. Stress is
a limiting force that influences when fear presents itself.
We all have to deal with fear, and fear is the major cause
of all of our problems, and emotions are triggered by fear.
With proper education, it will help us to differentiate between
good or bad and help us to avoid encounters that will possibly
lead us to fear and danger. However, if we view stress as
a challenge and overcome our fear, it can benefit us. We are
thought to be aware of the potential roadblocks ahead and
the dangers lurking around the corners.
A smart person who is well prepared with stress management
strategies will never risk his or her life walking into a
dark alley where he or she knew there would be gangsters;
rather a wise man will take all precautions to avoid such
dangers because his stress management scheme is focusing on
current, potential, and life in general.
A witty young mother with a tight fitting stress management
scheme will investigate before leaving her children in the
hands of strangers. Before making a decision, she wouldl weigh
out the consequences, potentials, and analyze the person in
question carefully. She knows that any wrong decision made
would potentially put her children at risk.
As you can see, education helps us to stay focus in all situations,
including each decision we make. Danger exposes us to harm,
injury, death, pain and loss. With a stress management plan
backed with education, can reduce the exposure of danger involved,
minimize fear and control stress.
And also, stress can hurt us if we lack the skills of coping
with stress, having difficulty in making decisions, then danger
is waiting to pounce on us. We can look at several examples
to see how decisions can increase stress levels. Decisions
that are made on impulse can cause overwhelming stress.
For example, one man came home from work to find his wife
was gone. He suspected that the wife was having an affair
so he went to the location where he thought she might be since
she was found there before. Upon reaching the destination,
he saw his wife was getting into the sports car of her ex
husband. Instead of confronting the problem logically, he
drove off on his motorcycle in rage to the bar.
Accident happened and the man was in a coma for several months
before he came to and lost all his memory The man had children,
his irrational decision has cause stress for several lives.
He has difficulty managing his stress level more than ten
years later simply because the nervous system was affected,
thus reducing his ability to cope with stress and stressors.
Now, how did he affect everyone? His children had to suffer
the consequences of his irrational decision, the doctors were
stressed out trying to keep him alive, and he lost everything
he in the end This is fear, danger, stress, emotions, decisions,
and logic all that led to a bad decision.
As we can see, decision plays an important role in stress
management. When we are well educated, it makes our decision
process easier since we have knowledge and knowledge contributes
to our behaviors. There are other techniques available that
help us limit stress, including breathing techniques, visual,
self-talk and etc. Taking a few deep breaths can help to release
your anxiety and stress.
