Liposuction Risks

 

Beware Of The Liposuction Risks!

As most of us know, liposuction is a cosmetic surgery that removes fat deposits while shaping the body. The Liposuction surgery may be performed by any licensed doctor, and there is no formal training prior to Liposuction.

Before you decide to go ahead with liposuction, there are risks and complications that you must understand. Now, let’s look at several risks and complications that are likely to happen in the liposuction.

The Risks Are Always There

As with any medical procedure or surgery, there is always the risk of fatality, even though liposuction might be in low risks, many studies contradict exactly how many deaths take place but all studies show low numbers.

Other than the bad news, there are other less severe liposuction risk and complications to study as well. Toxicity from the Anesthesia used to numb the skin, specifically Lidocaine, can cause complications with numerous symptoms including a metallic taste in mouth and muscle convulsions.

Another potential liposuction risk is burns when ultrasound is used. An imbalance of Fluids may also occur as a result of all the fluids being removed from the fat deposits and some fluids injected by the doctor during the procedure. Besides, skin death or Skin Necrosis is also a possible liposuction risk, involving the skin above the area of the liposuction procedure. This liposuction risk will result the change of skin color and can also include infections.

Infection is also one of the liposuction risks, and is a risk with any surgery. This is also why it is important to always keep the site of the surgery clean and sometimes doctors will prescribe an antibiotic to make sure that infection does not occur. Swelling or edema is another more common liposuction risk that can vary in intensity and duration by person from weeks to months.

Embolism happens when fat is loosened during the Liposuction surgery and it will enter the blood vessels that are broken or ruptured during the procedure. Puncture Wounds in Organs or Visceral Perforations are also the possible risks when the doctor who is performing the liposuction procedure cannot see the probe and punctures an organ. This has to be repaired through surgery immediately. Keep in mind that, this is not a full list of liposuction risk, and the many complications associated with the cosmetic procedure. Make sure to consult with your doctor to weigh all the risks and benefits of liposuction.

To avoid risks completely, there is only one way, which is by using non-surgical assistance to help you to slim and tone body without having to undergo the knife.
