Obesity and Heart Disease, How Are They Related
Heart is the most important part of our body without which
blood cannot be circulated throughout the body and living
made possible. Most of us will go to great lengths to understand
how it works and of course the ways to prevent it from any
major diseases and stokes.
One Of The Major Causes Of Heart Disease: Obesity
What is obesity? Depending on your height, our normal body
weight can be calculated, and when we exceed our normal body
weight, we will be categorized as obese based on your BMI
(Body Mass Index). Generally, obesity happens due to large
consumption of food as well as due to some pre-existent medical
factors.
Obesity and heart disease are related because obesity causes
heart disease. Most of the obese person has more fat in his
or her blood stream than normal and which can cause the arteries
to clog which in turn will not supply the heart with blood.
When your heart does not have enough blood supply, you are
likely to experience a heart attack.
Tips To Avoid Obesity and Heart Disease
Obesity and heart disease can be avoided by following some
simple tips, such as eating healthy and exercising. Eating
healthy means you should not starve yourself, instead, you
should be aware of what you put into your mouth and what are
the ingredients used to make the particular food items. For
instance, you should be watching out for saturated and trans
fat and well as cholesterol for both are likely to increase
you blood cholesterol and cause heart diseases.
Fast food has been a major cause of obesity and heart disease
when you don’t watch the scale and cholesterol levels.
While cholesterol is not calculated by body weight, even thin
individuals might have high cholesterol as well. Obesity can
cause a huge difference in your cholesterol thus, yet again
establishing the relation between obesity and heart disease.
There are a few medical conditions that cause obesity and
those have to be handled through your doctor only and only
he or she will be able to administer the right medication
for the same.

If you are obese, never go on a crash diet, you should consult
a dietician who will find the right diet and exercise for
you in order to lose weight without putting yourself in danger.
But, you should know that drastic diets can cause heart failure
as well. So, you should take one step at a time and stick
to the program designed so you are in better shape in order
to live a long and happy life.
