Discover the Nature of Organic
Do we really know what is organic aromatherapy oils or is
there a misconception on what ingredients are qualified in
making organic oils? The commonly understood notion about
organics is that it is not made of synthetic materials, instead,
just from natural plant oils.
Nonetheless, there is a wider meaning to the term which means
that only materials that exist naturally such as those used
to produce fruits, vegetables or even aromatherapy oils are
considered to be organic materials.
Another common concept is that since organic aromatherapy
oils are consumed externally and hence it cannot be categorized
as food, so, it may lead one to think that it need not conform
to the same general guidelines concerning organic food products.
This is not the case due to the fact that organic aromatherapy
oil is not considered organic and containing organic materials
if it does not contain at least 70 percent non-water or non-salt
agricultural content in its weight. This is to make sure that
the organic aromatherapy oil is made out of environment friendly
materials and that there is little or no toxin content in
it.
When buying organic aromatherapy oils, the above mentioned
methods can be used for evaluating that the products conform
to these established standards. Speaking of which, there are
some standards which have been set by Soil Association Standards
for Organic Farming and Regulation (EEC) which have become
the benchmark for evaluating organic oils. Only products which
match the standards set by Soil Association Standards for
Organic Farming and Regulation (EEC) will be given a license
number to prove that it does match these standards. Since
the license number is renewed each year, make sure that the
product is not more than two years old.
The recent rush of interest in organic foods seems to have
rubbed off on people wanting to use organic aromatherapy oils
and its demand is almost as high as organic foods. This should
be good news to users of organic aromatherapy oils because
the energy and aromas of these oils and also their benefits
to the user depending on a great degree on their purity content.
However, this does not indicate that obtaining purity is
easy to achieve as producing pure organic essential oils is
a very time consuming and a risky venture at the moment, and
it can only be done by just a few small family enterprises.
But, once the slow distillation at low temperatures has been
achieved, it will produce organic oils that have special aromatic
and therapeutic effects.
