Sign Of Heart Disease

Sign Of Heart Disease That Your Body Gives

When your body has something important to tell you, it will let you know the way it can, which is by causing you pain. When your body foresees imminent problems, it will give you a sign of heart disease. Hence you should never ignore it.

While chest pain is a sign of heart disease, there are also other symptoms which may be less obvious. The symptoms include shortness of breath, leg swelling, and leg pain when walking, high cholesterol and high blood pressure are all signs of heart disease and your body is warning you that something has to be treated. Ignoring the warnings would cause you fatal consequences.

Chest pain, which is known as angina, is pain or a feeling of pressure or chest tightening. Normally it accompanies physical activity, but if you have angina while at rest, referred to as unstable angina, it is a sign of heart disease and could mean a heart attack is alarming in the near future.

As a common sign oh heart disease, it could be shortness of breath. This happens when the heart can’t pump enough blood to keep up with the body’s requirement. This can cause a back-up of blood and fluid build up in the lungs, thus making breathing extremely difficult. This is a sure sign of heart disease and medical attention is critical.

Swelling Of Feet

When your legs and feet begin to collect fluid, they tend to swell and it could be sign of heart disease. You will need to inform your doctor if you are suffering from swelling, especially if you suffer other symptoms such as shortness of breath, as it may be a sign of heart disease.

Pain in the calf area of your legs during exercise may be nothing to worry about if they stop a minute or so after you stop the activity. But, if your leg pain occurs without activity it could be a sign of your legs not getting enough oxygen due to a blocked artery.

High blood pressure and a high bad cholesterol level are also significant signs of heart disease. Check your blood pressure annually to make sure that it does not harm your health. High cholesterol can make your blood thicker and harder to pump, that raises your blood pressure. It can also cause blood clotting which could end up starving you heart of blood and oxygen.
