Stress Out Of Control
When stress gets out of your control, fret not,
spend a few minutes to help you to walk through your problems.
When we allow stress takes over control of our lives, we
will live in misery. Stress can get out of our hands when
we have to deal with people that are critical, reproachful,
always relying on others to carry their loads, and people
who simply try to cause trouble for someone else.
We are in a world full of diversities where we come across
all types of personalities. People who are critical can be
the worst type of people since these people form an opinion
based on a statistic. Let’s took at this example, a
young woman lost her home, her identity was stolen, and she
has a young child to feed.
It is obvious that the woman needs a home, but when she approaches
a property agent, he or she thinks the woman is not responsible
since she has to rely on a help from the homeless emergency
association to provide a roof over her head. Instead of checking
the background of the woman to know that she has a good history
of paying her rent on time, the landowner may reject the woman
thinking that if she needed help from the state, possibly
she cannot afford to pay a rent. What a depressing situation!
A person who always jumps to conclusion easily can cause stress
on others, as we will choose to avoid the person thinking
that this type is a stressor. However, we cannot avoid everyone
in the world; therefore, we must learn to deal with these
types of people, which is by learning stress management skills
to survive.
Stress and stressors are something that will exist as long
as we live. Stress can come any time without us knowing, whether
we are home relaxing, at work focusing, or outing with friends.
Stress hangs around like fleas on a dog and it will never
disappear. The dog is used as example, since most people believe
that dogs are bound to have fleas and it is permanent. Little
people know that a dog has a solution to the problem acutally.
Since we are now know that certain personalities around us
everyday can cause annoying influences. The next time we should
to is learning stress management skills that to help us to
stay on the path to success. If you can avoid these types
of people completely, you have found a solution to your problems.
But, you must know that, the existence of these people is
everywhere, it could be leaders, bosses, spouses, children,
teachers, and so many other individuals in the world are a
part of our life. Unless you plan to die, otherwise, it is
impossible to eliminate them all.
For example, a mother has to deal witha child that jumps
to conclusions, judges her every action, accuses her of carelessness,
and relies heavily on her to take care of his or her every
need. Poor mom is always overwhelmed with stressors and stress.
How mom handles the stressors and stress will depend on how
the situation turns.
If the mom breaks down each time the child causes her stress,
then more disasters in her and the child’s life are
believed to happen. But, had she learnt the stress management
techniques which include patience, then she is on her way
to solving problems. So, when disturbances or stressors come
her way, she will have the coping skills. Mom will come to
understand that being a human, she will make mistakes. and
mistakes are just part of learning.
If mom has a good stress management in hand, then she will
know what to do when problems occur. For example, we can review
the situation, it looks as though the mother is obviously
in a hasty situation and it appears no hope is available.
The mom has decided to take steps to reduce stress since she
acknowledges the problem and asked for help. If mom was not
prepared, she would think negatively and lost hope. Instead,
what we see here is a positive mom since she is taking it
positively to reduct stress and eliminate her problems.
Like it or not, it does not matter whether you are a man
or woman. Each of us has a fair share of stress and stressors.
When we learn our stressors, it means we are taking control
over our stress to keep them in hand.
