Threading
Please Explain How Is Threading Done
Hair Threading is a quite new method that can be done either
at home or at many salons. It is great for removing fine hair
like the hair that grows above the lip. Compared to shaving
or bleaching, it can be as painful as waxing depends on your
skin sensitivity and how thick your hair is.
The procedure is called Threading because all it requires
is just a normal sewing thread to remove the hair below the
root. Of course, it is easier to be done at the salon, but,
if you wish to try it at home. Here’s what you need
to do.
First of all, start with about 2 feet of strong sewing thread.
Hold both ends of the thread with each in each hand and knot
them together so you end up with a continuous circle. Then,
hold the thread with both hands, wind the thread 10 times
until it resembles a bow tie. The wound portion should be
in the middle now. Next, slide the wound portion towards one
of your hands by spreading the fingers of the other hand while
closing the fingers of the other. Try to move the wound area
back and forth by alternating the fingers that you spread
and close. When you master the skill of maneuvering the wound
area back and forth, you are ready to proceed.
It is good to practice the procedure on your leg hairs because
it is a larger area for you to work with. Sit down on a chair
and prop one leg up so it's at a comfortable height. Target
your selected area, then place the wound side of the thread
on one side of the hair and then lay the thread from the opposite
end around both sides of the hair. Once you have reach this
point, do the finger stretching and closing routine to move
the wound area fast to the other side of the thread. The thread
will catch the hair and pull it from the root. Repeat the
process until you have treated the entire area.
It might sound confusing and difficult to you, therefore,
for the first time, it is better to get it done at the salon.
Pay attention to how it's all done, and then attempt it yourself
at home. Threading is an inexpensive way of getting rid of
extra hair.
Just think of paying to have it done as tuition because once
you get the hang of it, you can continue to do it at home.
The repetition of this process will have to depend on the
rate of your hair growth. There are no real dangerous side
effects to threading though, but, if you are sensitive to
pain, you might find the process uncomfortable. However, once
you have learnt how to do it, you can do it quickly and as
frequently as you need to.
