Calculating Your BMI

BMI (Body Mass Index) , is a good way to assess your weight and health. Your BMI will tell you whether you are at a healthy weight.

As we all know, being overweight is not a bliss anymore. In fact, the weight will strain our heart and eventually lead to serious health problems. So now, let’s look at the formula of calculating your BMI.

  • Multiply your weight in pounds by 703.
  • Divide that answer by your height in inches.
  • Divide that answer by your height in inches again

After that, with your answer, refer to the table below to see which category you fall into:

<18.5 - Underweight
18.5 - 24.9 - Healthy
25.0 - 29.9 - Overweight
30.0 - 39.9 - Obese
>40 -Morbidly obese
